It was Halloween and a few friends and I were on a haunted hay ride.
We began traveling down a path that was extremely narrow, and thick woods stood on either side. Up ahead I could see that the woods had a small clearing.
The driver of the tractor told us, "Up ahead are the trees of madness, they are said to cause intense hallucinations to those who look upon them, I cannot suggest that you attempt to do so".
Naturally, upon driving by the trees everyone looked away except I, who stared directly at the trunk of the trees.
Suddenly, there was an extremely bright flash of white accompanied with the sound of a click. The tree trunks began to morph colors, fading from hues of blue to red, green and orange.
Flowers began to sprout all around the trees from the ground and grow. When their flower petals began to open, there were baby fetuses lying within them, attached to the stem by an umbilical cord.
The roots of the trees began to slither up out of the ground, pick the babies up from the flower buds and systematically hand them up to the tree branches.
The branches moved like human hands, ripping away the umbilical cord and peeling the skin away from these fetuses.
This was taking place everywhere; hundreds of flowers were blooming up one after another with fetuses being lifted into the tree tops all around. I became sick to my stomach in a cold sweat, stomach bile filling my mouth.
Finally, a friend shook me, screaming "STOP LOOKING!".
As my mouth filled with bitter bile, I awoke... screaming myself.
