Okay, I know this is the "Trollpasta Wiki" and Trollpastas are supposed to be "deliberately shitty", but that doesn't mean this site's layout should be. We still want people (even newcomers) to be able to navigate this site easily, and having a clear categories listing would probably be helpful in this regard. That said, this site has a lot of useless, unnecessary categories. And I mean a LOT.

So I'm making a new rule.

DO NOT, AND I REPEAT, DO NOT ADD CATEGORIES THAT DON'T ALREADY EXIST TO PAGES. IF YOU FEEL THE NEED TO CREATE A NEW CATEGORY, YOU MUST HAVE AN ADMINISTRATOR'S PERMISSION FIRST (AND A GOOD REASON).

Sorry, I just had to emphasize that. The penalty for creating new categories varies depending on the type of category/motivation behind creating it:

  • UNNECESSARY CATEGORIES: categories that are unneeded and redundant. For example, making a category for Slenderman when we already have a category for him. The penalty for this will be a 1-day block (with a warning).
  • SPAM CATEGORIES: categories that are created for the sake of pointsgaming (which is already against the rules) and are completely useless. The penalty for this is a 1-week block the first time, a 2-week block the second time, a 4-week block the third time, an 8-week block the fourth time, and so on.

In the meantime, I would appreciate some help with purging all the useless, unnecessary categories from this wiki. Also, before putting this rule into effect, I would like to hear what Furbearingbrick has to say about it as she is the only other active admin on this wiki (please respond Fur).
