Hello guys. I'm ShawnTehLogoBoi, and as you can see, I will be giving you The Return to Grouchland, a trollpasta that's set three years after the events of The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland. The plot of this trollpasta is that Elmo enters Grouchland again and must defeat Huxley, who has planned to get revenge on him, his friends and the Grouches by destroying Grouchland and then Sesame Street with a weapon known as the Doominator.
It was another day in Sesame Street. Elmo had been playing with his blanket and Zoe. He had been telling her about his quest in Grouchland, how he stopped Huxley, and how he got his blanket back. "Wow! What a long journey! And you managed to defeat Huxley and get your blanket back! I'm sure you got help there." said Zoe to Elmo. As the two were chatting, Oscar the Grouch popped out of his trash can and said, "Hey Elmo, you're glad to have your blanket back, and you've been sharing it with Zoe! My stomach's empty, so I need to go get some lunch. I'll be back soon." He got out of his trash can and left to get some food. Elmo turned around and noticed that Oscar's trash can was empty. He proceeded to head towards it. "Huh? Elmo can't see anything in Oscar's can. Elmo must look deeper," he spoke. As he began to look deeper, Zoe walked over and tapped his shoulder. She told him, "Elmo, please don't do it! You're gonna end up in Grouchland again if you look deeper into Oscar's can!" Elmo stated, "Relax, Elmo wants to find out what's in Oscar's can." "But, Elmo," Zoe remarked, "there's not telling what's gonna happen to you, so get out of the can!" Despite Zoe's warnings, Elmo took a closer look inside Oscar's can anyway.
Elmo fell into Oscar's trash can again, and this time, when he woke up, the door in front of him was completely open. He got sucked in just like last time, and found himself in another multicolored tunnel, unable to do anything but scream in terror and float around. Elmo eventually got teleported and landed on a pile of trash.
"Elmo's in Grouchland? Again?" Elmo muttered as he awakened. He had recognized this very place from his previous adventure, seeing as it was still littered with trash and garbage, and was inhabited by Grouches. He began to take a look around this familiar place, and as he did, a Grouch noticed him. "Huh? It's the same red furball we had seen when he made his first steps in Grouchland." pondered the Grouch. He approached Elmo, with three more Grouches joining in. "Wait. You... you... you are Elmo! Welcome back to Grouchland!"
"Oh! Elmo is being welcomed back to Grouchland? Thank you very much!" Elmo said to the group of Grouches. He then encountered Grizzy, the friendly Grouch girl whom he had teamed up with. "So, Elmo, it's been a while since we first met, and the citizens of Grouchland have become friendly, but still favor trash and garbage," Grizzy said to Elmo. "We hope Huxley hasn't planned on threatening us even since we dealt with him. Trust me, he's not that evil anymore." As the two were speaking, the Mayor of Grouchland approached them. "Hey red, welcome back to Grouchland! I haven't seen you in three years. As you can see, the town has returned to normal and we would like you to take a tour around the town," he spoke to Elmo. "So, enjoy to your heart's content!" Elmo then proceeded to have fun in Grouchland and interact with most of the residents.
Just then, the residents began to hear the sounds of a helicopter and maniacal laughter. Many of the residents of Grouchland were also alerted to these noises. The source? Huxley's cartoonish vehicle! The vehicle landed in front of Elmo and Grizzy. The door opened, and out popped Huxley - now a cyborg with mechanical replacements for the right half of his head and left arm. "Guess who's back, stupid red furball? Me, HUXLEY! MUHAHAHAHAHA!" the man said. He walked up to Elmo and told him, "It's been a good while since we met. When you faced me three years ago, you dispatched my sidekicks and stole your stupid whoopee from me." "It's still a blanket, Huxley!" Elmo retorted. Huxley responded "Silence, red. I was greedy when I encountered you, but now I'm enacting revenge on you! My plan is to blow up this filthy wasteland with a weapon I call the Doominator, and then reduce Sesame Street to rubble! I'll head to my castle to build this destructive masterpiece. See ya later, you red pile!" Huxley then flew away in his cartoonish vehicle, laughing maniacally and heading for Mount Pickanose to put his plans into action.
That sent all of the residents of Grouchland into a panic. "Grouchland's gonna be destroyed soon! Run for your lives!!", one of the Grouches shouted. As the residents began to scream and flee from the area, Elmo started to get nervous. He and Grizzy ran across the city, eventually encountering Bill the Bug. "Hello you two! I'm Bill, the former sidekick of that loon, Huxley," Bill said. "So, I heard that Grouchland will get blown up by my former boss. We're gonna have to find a way to end this and save Grouchland." Elmo told Grizzy, "Elmo can't do this alone. Elmo needs the help of you and Bill so Elmo can stop Huxley again!" Bill replied, "Sure. Huxley's new plan is far more dangerous than his previous one, and we need to work as a team to stop him before he kills us! His castle is on top of Mount Pickanose, so we must get ourselves on our way to that place!" And with that, the trio started their journey to Mount Pickanose as part of their mission to thwart Huxley's plans.
First, the three went into a cave, holding flashlights in their hands. "So, Elmo, you got trapped here when you were in Grouchland last time, right?" Grizzy asked Elmo. He responded "Yes. Elmo got trapped here because of Bill and the Pesties." "Me?", Bill said. "Yes, Elmo said Bill because you were involved in trapping Elmo in here on his previous visit.", Elmo told him. A surprised Bill exclaimed, "True. And I shouldn't have done that to you since I was helping out with the Pesties at that time. But anyway, we must find something that can transport us out of this dark place."
All of a sudden, Bill shined his light on a minecart. "Look guys! A minecart! We should get on it." he said. Elmo, Grizzy and Bill all got on the minecart. It moved, and the three rode in it, crashing into a wall after a while. "Hoo boy! That was fun! But we better get going, because Huxley is on the brink of using his ultimate weapon to disintegrate Grouchland," Bill explained. The three then left the cave.
Elmo, Grizzy and Bill went to a garbage dump, and encountered some of the Queen of Trash's former minions. They told them, "Hey buckos! Grouchland is on the verge of being destroyed by that foolish Huxley - and only you can stop it! You'll need to see Queen to discuss this and find a way to Huxley's castle." Suddenly, the three heard a mysterious voice. "Hey red. Who do you happen to be?", the voice muttered. Bill told Elmo, "She's referring to you." The little red Muppet exclaimed, "Elmo. Elmo the Muppet. And these two guys around Elmo are a pink Grouch named Grizzy, and a yellow bug named Bill. So, who are you?" The voice revealed herself to be the Spirit of Trash - the ghostly form of the Queen of Trash, who had passed away two years after Elmo's first visit to Grouchland. She floated towards Elmo and proceeded to give him a speech. "So, Elmo, Huxley, the madman you have met in your previous visit in Grouchland, has planned to destroy this place with a powerful weapon called the Doominator. After that, he will destroy your home, Sesame Street. We're not going to let that happen, so we're going to do this: Head to Huxley's castle, which is only a mile away, and deactivate the Doominator before Huxley uses it to obliterate all of us. And two of your friends, Grizzy and Bill have joined you on your adventure, so a task like this won't be too hard."
With the help of the Spirit of Trash, Elmo, Grizzy and Bill reached Huxley's castle, which was now in ruins and featured a darker appearance. They went inside, and almost a minute later, they found the Doominator in Huxley's evil lair, but right as they did, Huxley found them. "What are you hooligans doing here?!" he yelled. "You, that piece of bubble gum and that stupid bug have been getting in my way at every turn now. In fact, I hate all three of you. I'm not going to let anyone mess up my weapon any time soon! But first, I need to absorb the power of the Doominator." Huxley began to absorb the power of the Doominator, but Grizzy smacked him away with a pipe. causing him to only get part of the Doominator's power. He got back up, and spoke "Well well well, you may have knocked me away, but I have some of the power of the Doominator. I am now... Dark Huxley! With my new powers, I have prepared to smash you losers to the ground! Time to get the real show on the road!" The battle between the trio and Dark Huxley began.
First, Elmo grabbed a rope, and swang and landed on Dark Huxley's chest. Dark Huxley retorted by shooting a laser from his hat, but he missed. Then, Grizzy pounced on Dark Huxley and punched him multiple times, and Bill the Bug threw a plank at his head afterwards. Huxley, who was starting to get more furious, created balls of dark energy and sent them towards the trio, but they missed and dissipated after hitting some of the walls. He repeated this process and sent the balls of dark matter at Elmo. However, Elmo was using one of the lair's equipment to protect himself, so the dark balls of energy bounced back and hit Dark Huxley, injuring him and making him even angrier. Grizzy grabbed him from behind, and Bill grabbed a pipe and hit him with it multiple times. Enraged, Dark Huxley proceeded to launch a mass of dark orbs of matter at the trio.
The castle began to collapse due to the intensity of Elmo, Grizzy, Bill and Dark Huxley's fight, and the Doominator began a countdown from three minutes, preparing to self-destruct. Elmo, Grizzy and Bill started to escape the building, but Dark Huxley chased after them. He snapped, "Get back here!!! I am not done with you piles of garbage!! I am gonna bring you back and leave you with my self-destructing weapon so that you idiots will be NO MORE!!" However, the three ultimately made it out and fled from Mount Pickanose, heading back to Grouchland. A large piece of debris fell in front of the entrance in the castle, blocking it and leaving Dark Huxley trapped.
An injured and weakened Dark Huxley crawled towards his lair. However, by the time he got to his lair, the Doominator's timer was in its last few seconds, and with a horrified look on his face, Huxley said, "NOOOOOOOOO!!! This can't be! I lost to that red furball again! And my weapon's about to explode! I'll definitely get you one..." Right before he could say any further words, the Doominator blew itself up in an explosion of its own, taking Huxley with it and ending him for good.
From a distance, Elmo, Grizzy, Bill and the Nesties watched as Huxley's castle exploded on Mount Pickanose, and debris began to fall down. By the time the explosion cleared, Huxley's castle had been completely destroyed, and the area where it resided on the mountain was reduced to a blackened crater. The residents of Grouchland began to come towards Elmo, Grizzy and Bill. The Mayor of Grouchland approached them and told the three that he was proud of them for putting an end to Huxley and his plans. He also stated that without Huxley, Grouchland can return to normal again and be peaceful like it originally was. "But first," he said, "we need to get this little red furball back to Sesame Street so he can return to his friends."
The Grouches returned Elmo to Sesame Street, and his friends were waiting for him. Zoe congratulated Elmo for saving Grouchland and Sesame Street from destruction, but then told him, "You know, this wouldn't have happened if you obeyed my warnings. But anyway, let's celebrate!" The Sesame Street gang then partied for the rest of the day.
After that, Elmo went to his bedroom and got in bed with his blanket in his arms. His mom gave him a kiss on the cheek and after she left, he whispered, "Elmo's proud of himself for ending Huxley for good. Elmo better get some rest now." He closed his eyes and went to sleep.
