I'm an average 18 year old who has a job at McDonald's. I have a Nintendo just lying there, I never really use it. One of these days when I was coming home from McDonald's, I found a Nintendo cartridge lying on the ground, it was Mario 3. But it wasn't the original cover that you all are familiar with, it was just a label with "SUPER MARIO 3" written crudely in permanent marker. I had a ton of nostalgia with that game. So I picked it up and kept on walking home. When I got home I ran to my Nintendo and popped the game in. I hadn't played Mario 3 in a long time.

When I started the game, something was different. It just cut to the title screen, there was no intro. When I started the game, everything was pretty normal, until I stomped on the first goomba, the colors started fading, and the music got low pitched. I just said "meh It's just a glitch", I continued to play, until the Nintendo just turned itself off. That was pretty weird. I just tried convincing myself that the Nintendo was old. So I went to bed. Next evening after coming back from McDonald's, I played me some Mario 3. This time though, things were getting even weirder... Mario looked dull, he also looked slightly depressed. I continued anyways. After completing the first level, my NES turned off again accompanied by a loud screeching noise. "Oh shit!", I said as I covered my ears.

After the screeching stopped, the NES turned itself back on. I didn't even know if I wanted to play the game anymore. There was a cutscene where Mario was walking slowly, and then he just stopped and died. The next level started, though the sky was black. I kept playing (even though at this point I should've turned off the system) There were no enemies or bottomless pits. The music was really quiet. Then I got to the end of the level. Then the loud screeching started again accompanied by some text that I never wanna talk about, I pulled out the cartridge, and smashed the shit out of it with a hammer. After that event, my life changed, I'm no longer the same, I get paranoid real easily now. Help me...
