Spongebob Game
7:38 p.m. Day 1
I want a new SpongeBob video game so bad. There's just not enough of them, and the 3d totally sucks. Maybe I'll try to find one... I'll look on Amazon, I don't want to just see if there is any I would like because it would end this pretty quickly. I have some extra money!
10:12 a.m. Day 2
I'm back. I found this weird game up there yesterday, called simply "spongebob game". It's there for $0.99, I'll buy it because it has pictures and even a trailer video, and it's very cheap. I can't wait to play this, you know? If you could see the previews. It's even 2d, the type of game I like.
11:21 a.m. Day 2
Well, that was the fastest delivery ever. It only took... An hour and 12 minutes. I guess the person selling it did it, because for the mailman it would never happen, and he used a city car to get here. Tomorrow I'll play this new game that I haven't heard of.
10:09 a.m. Day 3
I finally installed it. Now, I'm writing this after what happened... The game started up like a SpongeBob episode, with the intro, but an effect happened during the intro for 2 seconds. It was inverted colors, and gradual swirling. I made up a theory that someone got Sony Vegas and messed up the intro for fun one day. After the intro, the title screen came up. It showed "SpongeBob Game", in Times New Roman, on the screen in black. Also, it had a loop of SpongeBob walking like he does in the "Lost Episode". It had a tip saying that I could skip the intro with the Enter button, from now on, and it had traditional buttons: New Game, Load Game, Quit, and something new: "UNLOCKS", in capitals. I'll quit it now, since I can't get addicted to a game instead of going to work. You know, maybe I'll stay home from work tomorrow to check out this game. 99 cents lost can't kill me for missing a single day of work in between months.
2:28 to 3:52 p.m. Day 4
Well, today I'm not at work. I'm here mostly because I'm sick of work, but I also want to try out this game. I'll try out the UNLOCKS menu and play the game after that. The UNLOCKS menu said this: "You need the wins." and an empty black screen with nothing but that Times text in white, and a "Back" option like the ones on the title. (I'll call Times New Roman "Times" from now on since it seems to be this game's font.) Ok, New Game, time to play. The game started off with a screen saying "Level 1: Krusty Krab journey". Then, this cutscence started of SpongeBob going to the Krusty Krab saying "I'm Ready!", but with this evil, but not happy, smile. Then, I took control of SpongeBob. I moved with the "W.A.S.D." format across a road, with an arrow above saying to go right. I kept on running. Background characters starting appearing, and Squidward did once. Background characters appeared on the screen once at a time, and I noticed that they almost gradually did a animation of how someone would begin to cry. Squidward, on the other hand, was just walking, also with an evil smile.
After walking for a long time, the part of that "animation" got to where they would just start having their hands covering up their eyes, and it said "Level 1 Complete" in Times. SpongeBob walked over to a treasure chest, and opened it up. It said "FIRST UNLOCK FOUND!", as if I actually had to search for it. After that, it gave me two options: "Menu", and "Next". I clicked Menu to see the UNLOCK. This is where it gets bad. The first unlock, in a box that took up a quarter of the screen, showed a horrible animation of all the characters in SpongeBob falling on to each other. This was from the beginning in the "Red Mist" video that was fan-made, by someone I can't remember. After that, it looped crudely back to where it started. I then noticed "Red Mist Episode" above the box, making me think I could click it. "You should stop playing this.", my brain said, until I realized that the game had an M-17 rating... So, I went back to the game. Level 2 was called "Level tWo: SpongeBob's Time", simply that, with the weird "tWo" there. I spawned high above the ground in the middle of the Krusty Krab, and lost a quarter of a new bar that appeared above him. I saw a pill inside where Squidward works, so I jumped in instinctively with Space Bar and got it. I got the health back. I realized, "Where is everybody in the Krusty Krab?" I then, at the doors, saw customers banging on the door like hungry zombies. I walked into Mr. Krabs' office... I saw a gruesomely hung Mr. Krabs above his chair, with his eyes open and watering. Squidward was nowhere to be found, as if he had walked around the Krusty Krab after the first level. I was freaked out, so I used the Escape button. A new menu, like the traditional pause menu darkening the in-game screen, showed up. It showed all in Times, "continue", "leave", and "menu". The Leave option was suspicious to me, as if it would take me out of the Krusty Krab, but I clicked it anyway.
