I'm going to start out by saying, I love mobile gaming. It's fun, it's convenient, and there are a lot of undiscovered gems on the Appstore. But, this was a different app. I was on my iPod Touch at about 5:00 P.M., looking for free apps that looked promising, or paid apps that were free for a limited time. I saw the ones I already had, Nova, Gangstar, Modern Combat, etc, the crummy Gameloft games that I could afford at the time. I saw Zenonia, I already had all 5 though. So, I went and searched "games", and wow, there were 153,307 results. Naturally, I looked through them, and saw the games I already owned. As I got into the 7500s, things started to get odd. Some of the logos had children as logos, and some had black logos. I figured my iPod was bugging because of the black logos, not being able to store a lot in the RAM, being 512 MB. The children were odd I said to myself. Then, I came across the game. It was called MSX.exe. It seemed to be an adventure game. All the description said was: "Don't look back." There were no reviews, and no other games made by the developer named 10001110LLC. The game was released about 3 years ago. It was still getting updates however, being at version 3.3.1. The download size was exactly 1GB, but the game was 2D, judging from the pictures. The textures were probably really good, or the game engine was really complex. Either way, I wanted it. I clicked FREE, and then my password screen came up. I typed in the password, then it was downloading. But, I got an error message, "Cannot connect to iTunes", I tried installing again, and it didn't give me the error. Figured it was just a bad connection. I went to make myself a snack as I downloaded. My wifi was pretty slow though, so it took a while. MSX.exe was about 1.4GB installed. It was about 8:43 P.M. now. I started the game. I got this monochrome title screen. The screen said MSX in black. All it said was touch the screen under the title. Touched it, and it seemed to have very good graphics. No wonder it took up 1.4GB. I clicked start game, and MSX crashed. Then, I noticed I had an update. It was for MSX. It said "Crashing problems? We fixed it." I just thought "How the hell did they come up with an update?" A smart person would have deleted MSX, but I reset my iPod, updated, and went to bed. I woke up, turned on the iPod, and opened MSX. The logo was changed to a child that looked like a baby. I started the game and came to an opening FMV. It seemed a child was being born. There were two people, they said they'd name the baby Ian. I freaked out for a second as a million thoughts popped into my head: How does the App have a baby picture as the icon? How does the game know my name? Was someone spying on me?

Those were the questions that I thought of as I looked at the 4 inch screen. As the FMV ended, I heard crying. I could play the game now. It was a full, 3D, sandbox. The game looked Wii/Xbox 360 tier, sort of like the graphics had a baby. I walked through this city, and bought a newspaper. The date read: August 17, 1997, the date of my birth. As I got creeped out even more, I found out I could talk to the people in this city. I talked to a man crossing the street, and all he said was "Something terrible happened at James Hospital." Then, kind of like in GTA, a mission started. It said "Go to the hospital." So, I grabbed a parked car, and drove to James Hospital. "James Hospital? I've heard of that place I thought." I made it to the hospital, and someone handed me a shotgun. He said "That poor boy's parents, get the bastards that killed them." I ran to the elevator, and I went to floor 12, "Why do I think I've seen this hospital before?" I thought. I went to room 104 and then I saw my parents, mangled on the floor. The killer, or what I assumed him to be jumped out the window, then I turned around and saw a baby on the floor. He was crying, screaming over the loss of his parents. I caught a glimpse of the killer's jacket before he jumped, it said: MSX. I just realized what I had seen. My parents are actually dead, and I saw them die. I never had parents. Then who's watching me? I caught a glimpse of the wristband my player was wearing, it said: Don't look back, the same bracelet my 'dad' wears all the time. My Uncle came over a year later to talk, and 'MSX' was on his jacket. I checked the Appstore and Purchased after I deleted MSX. I never found it again.
