The Rotten Man
Hello, my name is Jonathan Davis and I work as a doctor in Florida. I have seen some strange cases but the most abnormal string of visits were from panicked people whose family members suddenly perished without any sickness or crime scene. after a while the people who contacted me vanish without a trace as though they were taken away, this has started to worry me so I decided to file a police report, nobody took me seriously and now i'm here writing this anomaly online in the middle of the night, Im sharing all of the cases in chronological order, from the first time i’ve been contacted to the last.
Story 1
The first time I have ever been contacted was from a middle aged man with graying black hair and prominent eyes, he said that about 6 months from that time he woke up in the middle of the night, he then started sobbing uncontrollably so i comforted him and told him to continue, he said that he couldn't move a muscle and was visited by “The Rotten Man”. I interrupted him and said that this is a completely normal occurrence and just your brain thinking that your still dreaming but the man kept going, he started talking about The Rotten Man saying a specific date before fading away and how at that date his cat died suddenly (at this point he started crying again) he then started talking about how much he loved that cat as it was his only family member he had.
At this point I started feeling pity for the poor man and said that it might have just been a coincidence, the man suddenly stopped crying and turned his head so that I can stare directly into his tear filled eyes, the man said The Rotten Man appeared in his room last night and said a new date which was tomorrow. I told the man to come back tomorrow so that I can show him how silly he's being. He never came back
Story 2
2 months after the first occurrence, a woman came into my office in really bad condition, she had scratches all over herself, clumps of her hair pulled out and a crazed look in her eyes. She came up to me and broke down right there on the floor, pulling even more of her hair out and sobbing so loud that the whole hospital could hear it. I didn’t know what to do so I tried comforting her like I did with my last patient but right when I put my hand on her head she started screaming and repeating the words: “DON’T LET IT TAKE ME” and “IT'S TAKEN EVERYTHING” I was confused and concerned as to what this lady was talking about. Soon people in black suits came into the hospital, grabbed the woman by the shoulders and took her away. I heard her screaming a bunch of jumbled words as she left but I remember hearing “The Rotten Man” somewhere in the nonsense.
I later found out that this woman was from a mental asylum miles away from here that she somehow escaped from..
Story 3
A man in his late 20s came in 2 weeks after the last case and looked similar to the first man except his hair was blonde instead of black, he started babbling about The Rotten Man and how everyone was dying and such, at this point I thought that these people were part of some deliberate joke that I didn’t know about so I wasn’t taking this man seriously, but what happened next will scar me for the rest of my life. The man started puking up blood in the middle of his sentence and collapsed on the ground, I called the police but it was too late. The man was dead on the floor of my office.
The police searched his body for evidence of drugs or other substances but soon found something even more bizarre, a recording from his bedroom's security camera showed a tall being with rotting skin watching him sleep. The now dead man was whimpering, suggesting he was paralyzed and couldn’t get out of his bed. 4 minutes of complete silence was interrupted by the figure saying something with a low and raspy voice which sounded like “September 12 2023”. What was even more interesting was that the day the man died was the date The Rotten Man announced. 10 minutes later into the recording The Rotten Man rushed at the camera, destroying it and ending the tape. The police thought of this as a type of gruesome joke in which a suicidal man took part in, but I think otherwise.
I am writing this now because my time is up. I was visited by him and will be dying in exactly 2 weeks from now, I hope more investigation goes into this homicidal anomaly, this is Jonathan Davis signing off.
