To Catch a Predator Banned Episode
Hello, I am a fan of the mid 2000s television news program, To Catch a Predator. It ran for a few years and was a mega hit for NBC, though if you're reading this, I'm sure you already knew that.
Anyways, I was on the web, searching for any new clips of the show I hadn't seen. There was a video titled: "To Catch a Predator - The 2009 Sting." This seemed odd to me, how was there another investigation 2 years after the series had ended? I happily clicked on the video, ready to laugh at the scum of society once again.
It started without an intro at all, just Chris Hansen at a kitchen island, reading what seemed to be transcripts from whatever predator would be coming through the door.
After about 15 seconds of nothing really happening, a doorbell could be heard. Chris yelled for the person to come in, the man entered and came into view. He looked quite old, probably in his late 50s.
Chris motioned for him to sit at the island, the man hesitated but eventually sat.
"Uh... what's going on?" the man questioned.
"You're here for a very special event, you remember me right?" Chris replied.
"I believe so, you're from that Dateline thing right?"
"Correct." Chris flipped through the papers in his hands. He stopped and began reading from his transcript.
"It says here, 'I was caught before, yeah know?' and a few lines down, you say 'I was lucky not to be caught by the cops though. They would have sent me to prison for life!'"
The man expression hasn't changed since he walked in.
"Then over here, you say to the girl that you think is 13 years old 'I have an 11 inch *blank*, I can please you in every way possible.'" Chris glares at the man.
At this point, I had noticed that Chris was acting a little bit strange, he was more aggressive and bitter than he was in the earlier investigations. It was a bit unnerving.
"Please don't." The man sputtered, "I know what I said. Can you just tell me how I can... not get arrested."
Chris kept flipping through the transcript, "Your name is Jeff, right?"
"Yeah? Why is that important?"
"Well, here it says your name is steven."
The man didn't give an answer.
Chris sighed, "Well, you know why you came back here, right?" Jeff gave a nod.
"So, I'm gonna need you to leave."
Jeff looked puzzled. "What... What do you mean 'leave?' I thought we had a deal!" He had begun to raise his voice.
Chris looked stern. "I have to ask you to leave."
"You said if I came back that you'd be able to prove I'm innocent! Now tell me what I need to do!!" Jeff exclaimed.
Chris motioned a hand towards the front door. "I think it's best you head outside."
Jeff reluctantly started walking back to the door. Chris then suddenly pulled out a pistol and shot Jeff directly in the head!
He put the pistol down, "That's one less predator on the streets."
The video ended and the website closed by itself.
I was in complete shock! How could this even be real footage?
I immediately tried looking for the site again and couldn't find it anywhere and my search history was empty!
I haven't been able to watch the show since then.
I'm still searching for this video to this day and I haven't come up with anything. Who Jeff was, where this took place and why Chris would resort to murder.
I hope one day, I'll be able to find it again.
