ViKtoria 2.exe

Victoria 2 is a popular 19th century and 20th century gameplay that starts in 1836 (The year Victoria was crowned the queen of Britain). I used to love that game a lot and I played it a lot! Mostly as USA, UK Austrian Empire, Prussia, Russian Empire, Ottoman Empire and much more... Here is the story of how my life became completely cursed!

How it began... (7/7/19)

I browsed random torrent files to see if there was a new Victoria 2 update. (Glad that I don't live in USA otherwise the FBI gonna noscope me) I came across a weird file called ViKtoria 2.exe. Okay, they honestly misspelled the name so I was curious to download it! No viruses were found when my anti-virus program scanned. I booted up the game and I saw a save file of someone who played Austria-Hungary in the year 1870. The file name was: KCAB NRUT (Turn Back in reverse, apparently, but at first I didn't know it).

So I chose that file. The gameplay background was normal of course but no sound was heard. I decided to do what I usually did when playing the game: build armies, navy, factories, railroads and yeah. But every five minutes I would hear an eerie sound file. Like honestly I was starting to get creeped out. I thought it was like a ROMHack made by a troll to scare people.

Then the screen started to turn red very slowly every 5 minutes with loud static and much of that. Afterwards I heard screams, and honestly I wanted to stop playing and quit the save file, but the game stopped me from exiting as the quit button apparently was gone. Then I saw what looked to be the flag of Austria-Hungary. It turned darker and it began coming close towards me!

After it reached the screen a loud jumpscare of the same flag came in and I had shit myself so bad because of the sound and the picture. My computer had crashed, and I booted up my computer again just to see a creepy ass background of Austria-Hungary with black eyes and creepy mouth.

I had a chance to delete ViKtoria 2.exe but it wasn't possible. Instead, there was an error saying that the file cannot be deleted. I seriously was cursed by it at this point. I even sent the file to my friend (Worst mistake of my life looking back.), and I couldn't sleep because whenever I was even able to, I kept having nightmares of that same damn jumpscare..

8/7/2019: "The death".

I woke up feeling tired because of the nightmares I was having. I was on my computer, and was looking at news. I saw a recent article about saying my friend (who is named Davis) died because after he played the cursed game, he had suffered some sort of lethal symptom.

I didn't know if he had a disease, or what it was. "WHAT THE HELL I JUST DID TO MY FRIEND?" I asked myself loudly, tears dripping down my face. I couldn't fucking believe it. If only I didn't send that file to my friend he wouldn't have died. But then I checked the torrent.

ViKtoria 2.exe was gone off the web. The last thing I really remember seeing is that only about 70 people downloaded that file. To my belief, apparently I was the only one who survived of those 70. I told my friends about this cursed game that had apparently been the cause of my friend's death, and they believed me because they actually saw it on live TV unlike myself.

The hype was building up around the public, because the ViKtoria 2.exe file was scarring people! Luckily I was about ready to move out since, from notifying others and essentially telling people to stay away from it; I was relieved. The last step was just moving out, and I would put this torrent in the past.

9/7/2019: Neighborhood curse

After I moved away, about 90 miles away from my home, I only woke up to a much worse event. The game was cursing an entire neighborhood that had I moved out from. Honestly looking back, it was my fault for even putting a neighborhood at such risk of death, if I'm to believe my friend had died from that game.

Now I've gotten depressed, because some of my old friends live there; and I fear for their lives being at risk from that curse. I didn't think they could survive it.

10/7/2019: The End

Welp. I checked back on the neighborhood to see that nothing had happened. No curse was there. Yesterday it was putting stress on my back to realize that, but now it's all gone! Everyone was okay, but what I question now is how they survived that curse like I did.

To this day, I feel the ViKtoria 2.exe still remains a rare curse.
